THE COMBINED STORY (for those who want one a liner)

In this release, the lines between crypto and cash become bridged. For the first time, Tangem Pay users can withdraw cash from any contactless ATM using their phone. Tron-based tokens and POW networks (Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Litecoin) are now tradeable on DEX for the first time. Robinhood Chain — with stock tokens for Nvidia, Apple, and more — is now supported. And Plus plan subscribers get free onramping.

Each feature works alone. Together they make the case that a cold wallet can be your primary financial tool — not just a place to store and forget.

What just shipped

USDT on Tron is one of the most traded assets in crypto — $87B+ in circulation, $2.1 trillion in transfers in Q2 2026 alone. Until now, swapping TRC-20 tokens in Tangem required a centralized exchange: one provider, one rate, and the risk of a freeze mid-execution.

Version 6.2 changes this. Tron-based assets — including USDT (TRC-20) — can now route through cross-chain DEX providers. More providers mean better pricing and no intermediary can freeze your funds mid-swap.

Why this is a big deal for content

USDT on Tron is how a huge proportion of the world holds stablecoins — especially in Asia, Eastern Europe, and emerging markets. This audience has never had a non-custodial, DEX-connected swap option inside a hardware wallet. Now they do.

More networks on DEX: Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Litecoin

What just shipped

Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Litecoin, and similar networks can now be swapped through DEX providers directly in Tangem. Before 6.2, swapping these assets required going through a centralized exchange. DEX routing for these networks is now live — more providers, better rates, fewer middlemen.

Why this is a big deal for content

Bitcoin Cash, Dash, and Litecoin have large and loyal communities who have historically been underserved by DeFi infrastructure. These users have always had to go to a CEX to swap. Now they can do it inside a non-custodial wallet without leaving the app.

New networks: Robinhood Chain and Igra

Robinhood Chain

Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 built on Arbitrum Orbit, live since July 1 2026. It uses ETH as its gas token and launched with a full DeFi stack from day one: Uniswap (v2, v3, v4, UniswapX), Chainlink oracles, and Morpho lending.

The standout: Robinhood introduced Stock Tokens — tokenized equities like Nvidia and Apple that trade around the clock. In its first three weeks: $450M+ TVL and 95M+ transactions.

You can now store Robinhood Chain assets directly inside Tangem.

Note: Swapping tokens on Robinhood Chain is coming. ETA ~1-2 weeks.

Why this is a big deal for content

Robinhood Chain is one of the highest-profile chain launches of 2026. Stock tokens trading 24/7 in a self-custody wallet is a mainstream crossover story — your crypto audience knows it, and your finance/investing audience will care too.

Igra Network (IGRA)

Igra is an EVM-compatible Layer 2 built on Kaspa's proof-of-work BlockDAG, launched on public mainnet in March 2026. You can now buy, store, send, and swap IGRA directly in the Tangem app.

Tangem Pay: ATM cash withdrawals

What just shipped

Tangem Pay users can now withdraw cash at any contactless-enabled ATM. Hold your phone (using Apple Pay or Google Pay) near the NFC reader — the amount is deducted from your Tangem Pay balance in USDC. No physical card needed.

Plan Fee Example: $100 withdraw
Basic 4% $104 deducted from balance
Plus 2% $102 deducted from balance

Who can use it

Any Tangem Pay user with Apple Pay or Google Pay at a contactless-enabled ATM (NFC reader required). Not provided in ATMs in following countries: Syria, Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela

Why this is a big deal for content

Tangem Pay has been virtual-only since launch. ATM access means the full cash cycle is now possible — wire in from bank, spend on Visa, withdraw cash — all from a self-custody crypto wallet app/ecosystem. No bank. No broker. No physical card.

Content angles

What's coming next (you can tease this)

Physical Tangem Pay cards are coming. Not yet available, but on the way. Position as "coming soon". ETA ~September.

Tangem Pay Plus: free onramping

What just shipped

The onramp fee for bank transfers through ACH has been completely removed for Plus plan subscribers. Add funds to your Tangem Pay balance at no cost. Combined with no transaction fees and the lower 2% ATM withdrawal rate, Plus is now the most cost-efficient tier for active users.

The full Plus picture

Why this is a big deal for content

The "crypto is too expensive to use daily" critique just got harder to make. For active users, Plus pays for itself quickly: zero onramp cost, zero transaction fees, half the ATM fee.
